Not the Vic Open 2004 - Paragliding at Bright (29/10/04-01/11/04)
This was my first paragliding trip outside Germany. I joined the Sky High club, which held the opening of the paragliding season at Bright. It is a lovely village about three hours north-east of Melbourne. Luckily, we had good weather conditions on saturday and sunday.
Unfortunately for me, we had quite strong winds at the launch. Since I was not used to that I had problems to launch. But I learned my lesson and will practise reverse launching in the future...
On monday, we had a few flights in the morning in very light wind conditions.
Although the trip was planned to continue until tuesday, we headed home on monday because of the weather. Thus, I had the chance to attend the Melbourne Cup.
